Summer Broccoli Salad

Summer is a wonderful time of the  year. Here in Michigan, our winters are long, dark, and cold. How often I long for the warmth of summer and garden fresh food as I’m shoveling the driveway. I’m sharing one of my favorite recipes today. It’s my Mom’s recipe and a perfect summer dish. ENJOY!!

SUMMER BROCCOLI SALAD

1 Bunch Broccoli (2 large heads) blanched & chopped into small pieces in the food processor

2 cups finely chopped celery (3-4 stalks)

1 cup raisins

1 cup Hellman’s Mayo

1 medium vidalia onion finely chopped

1 cup sunflower seeds

2/3 – 1 lb. bacon well cooked & finely chopped (the packaged pre-cooked works great)

2 tbs. cider vinegar

1/2 cup sugar

That’s it folks. Mix it all together and enjoy one of the best summer dishes in the world!!

Cheers,

Cathy
