Grateful For Tradition

Today is Thanksgiving and I have so much to be grateful for. I have two lovely daughters, an awesome family, passion for life, good health and amazing friends. My Mom is a great cook and many of the recipes I’ve posted and will post in the future come from her little brown wooden and worn recipe box. Favorites that we enjoy year after  year, holiday after holiday. Every Thanksgiving we have corn pudding. So, my Thanksgiving gift to you is this all time favorite recipe!

Mom’s Corn Pudding

1 can corn niblets
1 can creamed corn
1/2 cup sugar (1/4 to 1/2)
2 Tbs. flour
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 cup whipping cream

Mix sugar, flour, eggs and milk
Add corn and cream, mix well
Grease a baking dish
Dot with butter on top and sprinkle with nutmeg
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Bake uncovered for 1 hour

Cathy, your mom’s recipe sounds wonderful. I have my mom’s recipe box, and love going through her favorites. Sure do miss her this time of year.

Love your photography, by the way!

  2. This photo is beautiful, like your others. I really like the original quality to your work and will be stopping by again. Thanks for sharing.
